Since I am a Bengali myself, I was very happy that there is a Bengali restaurant in Freiburg! The boss himself brought us the food and was also available for a nice little chat. It's been a while since my last visit, but I will definitely come back as soon as the restaurants are allowed to reopen. Definitely worth a visit, the food is delicious??

Fantastic food and very good service with a very warm host.

I went to Bengal for dinner with my in-laws last Friday. I already knew it because friends recommended it to me. The food is freshly prepared, very deliciously seasoned, finely tuned without waiting long. The boss is polite, very charming and explains the dishes to you with such passion that you look forward to your meal. My in-laws loved it. In this difficult time for the restaurateurs, I hope that the Bengal will survive everything well. The Bengal is recommendable without hesitation and also priced very well. Go there, see for yourself and support this great restaurant.

Very nice traditional food. Full of delicate flavor combinations. They have a nice terrace for when is warm.

After almost four weeks of Italy on the return journey, I arrived in Freiburg. Had a nice meal here. The starter was a bit disappointing, the main courses on the other hand were deliciously tasteful and looked beautiful. Nice wine, nice dessert and delicious coffee. Operation can be a bit more personal / warmer. Still enjoyed a nice evening with good food!

That was really a culinary highlight. Very tasty, highly recommended!

Truly Bangladeshi Cuisine. One of the best and authentic Bangladesh restaurant in Europe. The owner and her wife is very friendly and hospitable. we will definitely come back.

It's delicious but only 1 star for the small portions for the money. For the prices you get good large plates in comparison at Chada Thai. I am a little disappointed

The inn is super easy to get to! The good transport connections make a quick meal trip possible. The waiter worked briskly, cleanly and in a friendly manner. The food wasn't the only thing that made eyes wide in this restaurant! In fact, I love trying new restaurants and I am relentlessly looking for new places to eat, but I will remain loyal to this inn and found the menu extremely appealing.

Excellent. Food, decor and service is all fantastic. It's not the typical Indian curry restaurant, and each dish has an interesting twist and a variation of the regular usual Indian dishes ???

Charming place with friendly service. Also in English. Calm relaxing terrace. Really enjoyed the Bengali curry.

We were eating in Bengal during a day trip ... The service alone was really mega! We were served personally by the boss. We felt right at home in the restaurant. The kitchen was still new territory for us. But you noticed the experience of the family and the love for the cuisine of Bangladesh. The cost was perfectly reasonable. We would love to come back!

Delicious. A feast for the palate! I didn't expect anything when I was there. All the more I was amazed at the perfectly coordinated preparation of the dishes. Food is cooked with love - you can taste it. I highly recommend it.

Mostly really tasty. During our last visit, however, the prices had risen noticeably (sometimes by several euros) and the quality had decreased somewhat. A little loud in the restaurant. A real insider tip until a year ago.

We went to the Bengal to eat as it was right at our small hotel. That was a wonderful coincidence. Very tasty, freshly cooked, seasoned food, without long waiting times. The boss serves himself. There is a small courtyard to sit outside. Mixed starters were very good.

Great Asian food from Bengal, made of Special taste... we really loved it! Not too much, very tasty and light for the dinner! And a special attendance from the Chef to verify if all was fine. We really appreciate the nice treatment and great food!

Goods on 22.08.2019 eat dinner. Everything was great, food was fresh and tasted very delicious. The boss serves you personally. You wait a bit for your order but that does not matter. Only recommended. Will definitely come again.

An amazing resteraunt with delicious food and great service.

Flavors were adjusted to local taste, so lost all uniqueness of Indian cuisine. 4 dishes were all under-flavored, under-seasoned. Staff were great and tried to compensate. Decent prices.

Original flavors combined with friendly service, that is a win in my book! Especially enjoyed the chicken in tomato yogurt sauce infused with cardamom and the dessert of a sweet milk pastry with almonds. We also enjoyed a great lemon drink: not too sweet but very refreshing! Quick service, the place can get a little noisy when some large groups arrive.

The shmeere-food served in the place is as far from bengali food as Freibug is far from Dhaka. Awful, borderline disgusting. I do not know how this place got 4.6 points in Google. Fake news probably.....stay away and save your night. Also, terrible wine in a Rhineland!

Wow - super good. Had the first option in the vegetarian section plus the Bangladeshi refreshing drinks. The home made hot sauce is excellent and not too spicy. Lentil pancakes as appetizers were yummy too. Staff is friendly and prices are very good (under 10 Euros for the dinner dishes).

Tried this place today for lunch with a bunch of colleagues. We sat outside in the breezy terrace and ordered a few items from their lunch menu. I had this chicken in a light curry gravy, slightly sweet with raisins, fluffy rice and simply delicious. The kicker was their goes-with-everything-fruity-chili-sauce! Super friendly service too, I'll be back.

We have been to Bengal several times and are thrilled each time by the dishes and the nice owner. The dishes are freshly prepared with a lot of love! Very aromatic, unique and diverse! We will be back! :-)
